I: A Good evening everyone, welcome to the show, this is Ivan and Joe from Radiant Solar Solutions, we’re going to be putting on a show every weekend, Saturday from 7 to 7:30 AM720 for KDWN. We are happy to answer any information for customers so please send in all your information we’re with Radiant Solar Solutions of Nevada. Our phone number is 1-800-231-7120. You can also email us at email@example.com. And check out our website at www.radiantsolarsolutions.com. Our show is going to cover all things related to renewable energy, but specifically the situation here in Nevada. With solar and battery products being your number one chance to avoid high rates from electricity companies such as NV Energy. One of the most known facts about solar is most solar buyers are not environmentalists. We’re not here to do this because people want to save the environment. The reason why people are going solar with battery storage is … they need to save a buck.
J: That’s right Ivan, and in the 10 years I’ve been doing this for, I could probably count on one hand how many people have actually asked me how it was going to reduce your carbon footprint. This is a financial strategy that we’re employing to avoid paying ever increasing kilowatt hour prices with local utility companies and go independent and create your own energy. I mean you don’t rent your house any more, do you Ivan?
I: No, absolutely not.
J: Why don’t you rent your house?
I: You can’t ever get any return on the money that you’re putting out.
J: So, why do you still rent your electricity?
I: Well, it’s because I haven’t had the opportunity to put solar on my roof with the new regulations that came out from NV Energy at the beginning of January 2016.
J: And that’s exactly what solar is. It’s when you don’t want to rent anymore, your electricity, and you decide to own. And that’s what you do, you go either solar or wind depending on how much energy you’re using. The reason we’re doing this show actually, is to let you guys know that solar is not dead. It was not taken out into the desert by the Public Utilities Commission and shot and buried in a hole. It is still very much alive and kicking. In fact, really the major thing we’ve all been waiting for in the renewable energy industry for the last 40 or 50 years is how do we store the energy. We’ve been able to create green energy, but we didn’t know what to do with it once we’d created it. So, now we have this excellent storage solution, created by Sonnen. Where is Sonnen made out of Ivan?
I: So Sonnen is actually assembled right here in the United States.
I: But what’s really exciting about them, it’s a German engineered battery, assembled here in the United States, but this battery, for the amount of power that it can hold inside of it, the footprint that it takes up is incredibly astounding. You are looking at a footprint that is less than a fridge in your garage and it can power your home for the next 27 years.
J: Wow, It’s got a ten thousand cycle warranty on the battery, and you are pretty much estimating that people would use one cycle per day on that house, right?
I: Ya, we’re going to completely fill this battery full of energy and we are going to completely drain it, every single day and it’s going to be the heart and soul of power in your home.
J: And that would also be good for off-grid applications as well right?
I: It’s perfect for off grid applications, it’s perfect for on-grid applications. This battery is designed to retro fit onto any existing home in the United States currently.
J: This is the solution that we’ve all been waiting for. You do not have to wait five more years for Tesla to come out with a battery. This battery is already here, we did ten thousand installs in the U.S. alone last year. It’s a lithium-ion phosphate battery that’s UL Listed. What that translates as, there are no poisonous chemicals in the battery whatsoever. There is no mercury. You could literally install this in your kitchen if you wanted to and eat your breakfast off it without risking cross-contamination.
J: Ya, Sonnen battery is doing some really phenomenal things. What they are doing is basically vertical integration, they are taking Sony battery packs, the Sony battery pack and they are putting inside a UL Listed cabinet, along with an outback systems inverter, an energy manager software system and all the electronics needed to go along with it. This system is literally plug and play to power your home indefinitely.
J: And your car, right? If you’ve got an electric car, this is your solution for that too?
I: Ya, of course, with electric cars a lot of people think that they are going to be able to save a lot on their cost of ownership of an electric vehicle. The problem is, with electricity rates doing what they’ve done, statistically they double every fifteen years in the residential section alone. So we are looking at hopefully producing enough power with your roof and storing enough energy in your garage, where we could power your entire lifestyle and that includes if you decide to go with an all-electric vehicle.
J: And the batteries themselves, are modular, right? So, if your energy demands go up in the future or your storage demands go up in the future, can you just add to this unit?
I: Ya, absolutely, you can definitely increase the size of your system, we can grow anywhere from four kilowatt hours of storage all the way to up to 16 kilowatt hours of storage. We have tons of information on our website folks. So, if you get a chance, please take a look. We are at www.radiantsolarsolutions.com
J: And if you have any questions you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org also.
I: And we also have a 1-800 number that you can call in and get more information on. 1-800-231-7120, that’s Radiant Solar Solutions of Nevada. We are here to answer any questions you may have pertaining to solar and battery storage in Nevada.
J: You know one of the things I really like about the storage solution that we have, and it is exclusive to us in Nevada and Arizona, there is no one else that carries this in the area, so we are in a really unique position to help out the residents of the valley. One of the things i really like about it is that you don’t need to buy as much solar anymore.
I: Oh, that is the big exciting part, the amount of solar that you need has been drastically reduced, because you are now able to store the energy on location and you get a better return on that versus selling your power back to the power companies. The traditional net metered systems, the big hindrance with them is, if the grid goes down, even though you have a solar production unit on your roof, you can no longer have power because you are back-feeding into the grid. With the battery, if the grid goes down and your neighbors lose power, you still get to have power.
J: That’s a fantastic thing. And the battery as well spits out 240 volts, right? So, that’s enough to kick on any air conditioning unit system in any home. I think people who’ve been on battery storage before and off-grid have always had the problem of big loads, like an air conditioning unit, it doesn’t kick out. So, with this battery back, like I say 240-volt output, enough to start any air conditioning unit up ice-cold.
I: And Joe, even more exciting than that, is the fact that you can actually save money doing all of this.
I: You can get all of these products and you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for it. Generally speaking, the right customer for us is going to own their home, they are going to have a power bill of about $150 per month or more. You are going to have a roof that faces south, east, or west and your roof has good sun exposure from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Given those scenarios, this is an ideal product to power your home and you are going to save money. The product usually pays for itself in less than 10 years!
J: And it’s the only solution if you’re in an area, like we are in Nevada, where you have a utility company that wants to penalize you for going green by implementing a rate hike between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. This battery is so smart that you program it, well we program it for you, it kicks on between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and that way you’re not paying those high peak rates. Also, it’s smart for your whole house, so if you are on the beach in Hawaii and you though, oh I forgot to put my air conditioning on, you can just go on the app on your phone and you can control it all from the app on your phone. Anywhere in the world, control your whole house.
I: And just speaking about our company in general, with Radiant Solar Solutions, December was a great month for us here in Nevada. We had hundreds of installs occur, we have plenty of customers who are already living off of these products. it’s not like this is a new product. I think you mentioned over 10,000 installs already to-date?
J: In the U.S., just in the U.S. last year that was. Sonnen battery has been huge in Europe and South American nation markets for years, it’s just only in the U.S. right now we’ve only just been able to get this technology. You know we’re still waiting on empty promises from certain manufactures that make electric cars and cells for the power walls for your homes and such, and we’re still waiting on them and we’re not sure when it is going to come through and what kind of pricing it is going to be and what kind of technology it is going to be. So here we have something that is manufactured by a bankable company, Sonnen, Sony doesn’t look like they are going out of business anytime soon, I can’t see that. They’re giving you a warranty that is absolutely insane, 10,000 cycle warranty. Sounds to me like a manufacturer that has big kahunas and wants to show them off. It sounds like they’ve got a product that they think is unbeatable.
I: Well, Sonnen, the German and European market leader and pioneer in fully integrated lithium-ion energy storage systems has done a great job. And realistically you have to realize that this isn’t just an independent program, the growth and advancement of storage batteries is a priority for the U.S. Department of Energy, the Advance Research Projects Agency is doing over 37 million in funding for innovating projects such as this.
I: And realistically, why do home owner do this? They do it for of 3 reasons.
1) It saves owners money,
2) it provides back up power,
3) and it enables use of solar power at night.
And that’s realistically what we are trying to do is power homes 24/7, using nothing but sunlight.
J: Joe and Ivan here from radiant solar solutions. If you have any questions, you can contact us on 1-800-231-7120. Any emails can come to email@example.com We are going to be here for the next 52 weeks discussing why renewable energy is still viable and explaining to people how it wasn’t killed by the Public Utilities Commission 12 months ago. It is still a very viable option. We have an energy storage solution that nobody else has on the market. And it is the perfect solution to an energy company that is trying to give you a rate hike between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. This is your energy solution.
I: And the best part about it is you get to own all the equipment, to make all your power for your home, and the federal government is going to help you out and give you 30 percent tax credit on that. So ya know the Sonnen battery delivers saving and peace of mind day and night, and the big thing is that you can use solar energy at night, harvest cheap energy to use later, gain energy independence, and never worry about the lights going out again. Radiant Solar Solutions, we’ve been out here in Nevada for 28 years. We’ve been doing solar specifically for the past five years and to be honest, I don’t think I’ve gone on an appointment with any potential buyer who said they didn’t want a battery. This is what we’ve been waiting for in this industry and thankfully we have the exclusive contract to sell this product to anyone here in Nevada who owns a home.
J: I’ve been working in this industry for the last ten years and we’ve been at gun shows every other month, we’ve been doing 2 or 3 gun shows a month and everyone was always asking us about the batteries, batteries, batteries. That’s all they wanted to know about was batteries. Well folks, the time has come, the battery is here, it’s time to put your money where your mouth is.
I: Joe, we just got an email in at firstname.lastname@example.org. The question that we had was, what are the upfront costs for these products.
J: Well, that’s a great question and I’m sure everyone is dying to know, there are no upfront costs or ongoing costs to the customer other than making your loan payment if you have one, Radiant Solar Solutions wants to be a primary electric provider, and by owning your own energy production combined with energy storage, you are no longer controlled by a local utility, you are out from under their clutch.
I: So, Joe, one other question that we had from one of our listeners was how come our company, Radiant Solar Solutions of Nevada, is still here and so many of the other competitors with big names and big budgets left Las Vegas.
J: Well, it’s pretty simple, it’s all to do with the storage solution. The way the Public Utilities Commission and NV Energy introduced that rate hike, before it was every kilowatt hour that you put into the grid you can take a kilowatt hour back. It was a one for one exchange rate, and that was quite unusual for the U.S. I’ve worked in 35 states and I’ve never seen an exchange rate like that, a one for one. Now it’s gone down to one to 0.4 you get back, which is more similar to what you see in other markets.
I: And it just gets worse every single year, if you look at the rates that they are advertising, you go from just a basic service fee of $12.75 today and you’re going to fast forward 12 years from now and your already at $40 a month again.
J: Right, and so these other energy companies, the big-name energy companies that you mentioned, or that gentlemen mentioned, they don’t have a storage solution. They were just doing the net metering, they were using the grid like a battery. Which is great, it’s the best grid in the world. The U.S. grid, is unparalleled. So, it’s a perfectly viable solution to use the grid as a battery storage, but when you have a privately-owned grid and you have one person who is in charge of it, that can dictate what rates he wants to charge, then you’re kind of at their mercy a little bit. So, all these big companies they sized their systems based on the premise that you were going to get a one for one exchange rate, then it went down to 0.4. They’ve obviously, massively sold themselves short. What do they do? Do they provide you with a storage solution and say, sorry we over-sized your system, we’ll take a few panels off? No, they close their doors. They left 14,000 residents with leans on their homes, that decision left 2.5 thousand people unemployed in Nevada. It was an absolute mess. The reason we weathered that and the reason we’ve survived, not only is it our outstanding prices and customer service, but it is the fact that we are the only people in Nevada and Arizona that have the Sonnen Battery. There is nothing else like it on the market right now.
I: Well we want to thank everyone for listening to our show tonight. We are going to be doing this every weekend. from 7 to 7:30 p.m., AM720. Radiant Solar Solutions of Nevada, we’re taking phone calls and emails to answer any questions related to solar and battery. 1-800-231-7120, email@example.com.
J: And if you would like to come and see one of these batteries first hand, this weekend we will be at the Orleans on Tropicana and Decatur-ish. We will be there on Saturday and Sunday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. We’d love for you guys to stop by. Mention that you heard us on the radio show and you’ll get a free little gift.
I: Come check us out! We’re going to have the battery there for you to come, check it out on display and get an idea for what size this thing really has. Like I mentioned before, we have anywhere between 4 to 16 kilowatt hours of storage. That is an enormousness amount of power inside the footprint that we have.
J: And you know, we’ve mentioned how cost efficient it is, we’ve mentioned how fantastic it is for the environment, how safe the battery is as well, but what we haven’t said is how cool it looks. I know its not so significant in the grander scheme of things, but us boys without toys, it’s kind of a big deal when it looks cool as well and it has got some nice lights in it as well, when you’re showing it off to your pals.
I: I can agree, and you know what is awesome too, you know not every home has a garage. We typically want to store the battery in the garage, but it’s so nice, it looks great just in the kitchen.
J: You could put it as the focal point in the living room! Come down to the Orleans and see us. We’re there between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. You have to see this battery as well. I know it’s not just about the aesthetics, but the fact that it looks cool as well, I think says a lot about it. Sonnen battery, manufacturer of the cell is Sony, bankable company that’s not going anywhere, they are giving you a ten thousand cycle warranty with the cell. That is the kind of warranty that manufactures give when they have a lot of confidence in their product.
I: Ya, and they can even check out the website. And learn more about the battery. There are a lot of videos out there that explain how so much technology is packed in such a small package. You can check them out at www.sonnen-batterie.com. That’s sonnen-batterie.com.
J: This battery is so good that it has tempted and converted Tesla executives, engineers, marketing-engineers, they’ve all come over to Sonnen. They’ve left that sinking ship and they’ve come over to Sonnen. It’s worth taking a look on the website. Give us a call, 1-800-231-7120, firstname.lastname@example.org. We love talking about this stuff, we’d love to hear from you. Come down and see us at the Orleans between 9 a.m. & 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday the 7th and 8th of January.
I: Ya, we’re really excited to be doing this show, we have a great opportunity working here with Beasley Broadcasting. We’re going to be on AM720. KDWN is our show. Saturday from 7 to 7:30 p.m. every Saturday you can check us out. Me and Joe are going to be coming in every weekend to the studio to provide you guys with free information on solar and battery. J: Email us any questions, we will discuss them next week on our show. In a couple of weeks’ time we will have a live line for you to call into, but until then, shoot us the emails, give us a call, ask us your questions. We will give you an honest and unbiased answer, whether it makes sense for you to go solar. If it doesn’t make financial sense for you, then we wouldn’t recommend it.
I: It’s been a pleasure speaking to everyone and we want to thank you for listening to us, this is Joe and Ivan with Radiant Solar Solutions of Nevada. One more time, if you need to get a hold of us for any questions about tonight’s show, please don’t hesitate, 1-800-231-7120 and you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
J: Thank you so much for joining us tonight, we look forward to being with you next Saturday night between 7 and 7:30 p.m., AM720. And you guys have a great weekend. We hope to see you at the Orleans, we’re going to be there on the 7th and the 8th between 9 a.m.& 5 p.m.
I: Come down, meet Joe first hand!
J: Or Ivan, you can meet Ivan first hand! He is much cuter than he sounds.
I: We’re just looking to answer any questions about these products.
